So... Long...
I feel like I have been reading for months, like some kind of twisted Rip Van Winkle locked up in my room while the rest of the world passes either faster or slower than the pace of the current chapter.

"The Stand" is the easily the longest book I have ever attempted to read, and, maybe with the exception of Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations," is the thickest novel I've ever laid eyes on.

It is quite possibly the most fascinating and stimulating book I've read, and if you have between 25 and 30 hours of spare time over the next few weeks, I would highly recommend it (that is, if you aren't turned off by Mr. King's accurate portrayals of American life in both speech and action).

There will definitely be more on this at a later date aka when I finish it.
